On the 9th March will the Faroese Music Awards be awarded in Tórshavn, the capital of the Faroe Islands. The Faroese Music Awards are awarded by a cooperation of several Faroese Media associations like the Faroese TV, The Nordic House, the Media House, the Association of Faroese Musicians and the Association of Faroese Composers. The aim of the Faroese Music Awards is to highlight the high quality of the Faroese music, to honor and celebrate it and to award its best representatives.
There are two main categories: Pop/Rock and the „open category“ under which you can find pretty much everything. Besides granting the prices there will also be live shows of 10 artists. This year, Neckbreaker follows the invitation of the Faroese Music Awards and will take part for you and will not only report from the awards, but also from other concerts and musical events that will take place during the week. So have a look in here every now and then!
