The Neal Morse Band werden ihr neues Album "The Grand Experiment" am 13. Februar 2015 über InsideOutMusic veröffentlichen und haben ein neues Video fertiggestellt, dieses Mal zum eingängigen Song „Agenda".

Neal kommentiert das neue Album wie folgt:
"I am thrilled with how this song came out. During the recording sessions for the album, I remember waking up one morning wondering what was going to happen that day and not having a clue what direction the album would take... and I was thinking, "Man, this is a grand experiment!". And as I was lying there I thought of the chorus, but my original version was slower and more of a keyboard thing...then the band got to it and Mike had the rockin verse idea and it developed from there. The video was shot and edited by my son Chad. Hope you all like it!"
Zusammen mit seinen Langzeit-Musik-Partnern Mike Portnoy und Randy George, sowie Keyboarder Bill Hubauer und Gitarrist Eric Gillette, ist Neal Morse diesmal ins Studio gegangen, ohne jegliche Vorbereitungen getroffen zu haben. Es gab keinerlei Material, als sie die Session begannen. Neal kommentiert: "I wanted to see what it would be like to create freely in the room with no preconceived notions. It was quite a risk!" Bei anderen Alben, wie 'Testimony' zum Beispiel, war das gesamte Material bereits geschrieben und fix und fertig, als Morse ins Studio ging. "I used to be rather paranoid about whether things would turn out in the short space of time we had available...so I would fill all the space in advance!" Bei The Grand Experiment war es komplett anders. "I made a lot of room for the other guys to create and express themselves and the result is outstanding! We wanted to experiment, do something a bit different, and see what everyone is capable of...we found out...in SPADES!" Das Resultat ist erstaunlich, und es hat die Erwartungen aller Beteiligten bei weitem übertroffen.
The Grand Experiment enthält fünf Tracks - zwei lange Prog-Epen, die in kürzester Zeit bei allen Fans zu neuen Favoriten avancieren werden, sowie drei kürzere Stücke, zu denen auch das melodiöse und zugleich rockige „The Grand Experiment" gehört – und es wird all diejenigen in Begeisterung versetzen, die Fans von eingängigem Songwriting und gleichzeitig virtuoser Spielkunst sind. The Grand Experiment wurde von Rich Mouser gemixt.

Die schwedischen Progressiv-Rocker von Beardfish werden bei allen Terminen als Support mit von der Partie sein und die Songs ihres neuen Albums '+4626-COMFORTZONE' vorstellen, welches am 9. Januar 2015 erscheint.
